Terganic Permaculture
Land and lifestyle regeneration by design.
We are a leading provider of professional education and consulting in Permaculture Design, in Mauritius. Operating as a demonstration farm and homestead at La Meule Ecovillage, we offer our services for rural farms, agricultural lands, and residential gardens.
Our mission is to provide training and support for self-reliance, regenerative livelihoods, and pathways to re-orient our lives to be more in-tune with nature and each other.
By applying the Ethics and Principles of Permaculture Design to everything we do, we provide a new vision of education, training leaders in creating new models and livelihoods that represent the emerging regenerative future.
Restoration ecology and regenerative
designs for a resilient future.
Terganic Permaculture offers the knowledge, skills, and know-how for the creation of integrated ecosystems, community integration, and the conceptualization of local economies, in harmony with nature. The site is an educational institution dedicated to sharing regenerative land development and management practices; food resilience strategies; as well as self-sufficient lifestyles in harmony with the natural ecosystems, at the scale of small domestic vegetable gardens, as well as at the scale of agricultural farms, residential gated communities, or ecovillages. We are located in the heart of the Bambous Virieux valley, on the South-East coast of Mauritius, surrounded by the Grand Port mountain range, home to one of the last endemic forests of Mauritius.

We offer various training programs and participatory workshops for everyone. From those interested in home gardening, to professional farmers, landscapers and land managers, or those in search of meaning, and inner well-being in connection with nature, life, and the real world. The objective is to train the next generation of ecological actors, eco-entrepreneurs, professional land managers, or simple active citizens, in the fields of ecological and environmental regeneration, local economic affairs, micro economies, and social equity for tomorrow's world. We are open to the public and our farm offers, under reservation, the articles and products of our coffee shop, as a sundowner drinks, as from 4:30 on weekends.
